Crockpot Creamy Golden Chicken
2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1/4 Cup butter
2 envelopes dry Italian Dressing Mix
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 cup water
1 8 oz. package cream cheese
1/3 oz. chopped chives
1 package bowtie pasta
Place chicken in crock pot. In a saucepan, melt the butter on low heat on top of the stove. Add the dressing mix and stir well. Mix in the soups and water and stir well. Add the cream cheese in small pieces and allow them to melt in. Once it is all mixed, stir in the chives. Pour mixture over chicken and cook on low heat setting for 5 hours. Serve on top of bowtie pasta and drizzle with sauce. Time to enjoy!

WITH VEGETABLE SPRAY. COVER A 14-INCH BY 16-INCH BAKING SHEET WITH FOIL, SHINY SIDE UP. COAT FOIL WITH VEGETABLE OIL.
NOW PLACE BOTTOM PIE CRUST INTO PIE PLATE AND TRIM OFF EXCESS. SPRINKLE BOTTOM OF PASTRY WITH FLOUR. CHILL.
TO MAKE FILLING, PLACE PINEAPPLE IN A SIEVE SET OVER A BOWL. PRESS GENTLY WITH THE PALM OF YOUR HAND TO REMOVE AS MUCH JUICE AS POSSIBLE. DRAIN 30 MINUTES. RESERVE AND MEASURE JUICE.
PLACE 2 1/2 TABLESPOONS OF RESERVED JUICE IN A LARGE BOWL. WHISK IN CORNSTARCH UNTIL DISSOLVED. ADD REMAINING 1/2 CUP PINEAPPLE JUICE, SUGAR, LEMON ZEST, LEMON JUICE, VANILLA AND SALT.. WHISK UNTIL THOROUGHLY COMBINED. ADD PINEAPPLE AND STIR UNTIL EVENLY COATED.
ADD PINEAPPLE MIXTURE TO PIE SHELL. IF YOU ARE MAKING A DECORATIVE PATTERN IN YOUR TOP SHELL,DO SO BEFORE PLACING IT ON TOP OF PIE FILLING
ADD YOUR TOP CRUST AND SEAL AND CRIMP THE EDGES. CUT DECORATIVE SLITS, BRUSH TOP CRUST AND EDGES WITH BEATEN EGG.
PLACE PIE ON BAKING SHEET. BAKE 30 MINUTES AND CHECK CRUST FOR BROWNING. IF CRUST IS BROWNING TOO QUICKLY, COVER LOOSELY WITH FOIL. BAKE ANOTHER 15 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOP CRUST IS EVENLY BROWNED. SMOOTH. ADD YOGURT AND FLOUR. BEAT ON LOW SPEED UNTIL SMOOTH.
3. CAREFULLY SPREAD BATTER OVER COOKIE CRUMBS IN PAN. BAKE 1 HOUR. TURN OFF OVEN; COOL IN OVEN 30 MINUTES WITH DOOR CLOSED. REMOVE FROM OVEN; COOL 15 MINUTES. COVER AND REFRIGERATE AT LEAST 3 HOURS.
4. DRIZZLE CARAMEL TOPPING OVER CHEESECAKE. GARNISH WITH PECAN HALVES IF YOU WISH. STORE COVERED IN REFRIGERATOR.
HERE'S ANOTHER GOOD CAKE RECIPE USING CAKE MIX.
YOU WILL NEED
A (20 OUNCES) CAN OF PINEAPPLE SLICES
1 PACKAGE OF YELLOW OR PINEAPPLE-FLAVORED CAKE MIX (18 1/4 OUNCES)
1/4 CUP BUTTER OR MARGARINE, MELTED
2/3 CUPS PACKED BROWN SUGAR
10 MARASCHINO CHERRIES
1. DRAIN PINEAPPLE AND RESERVE 3/4 CUPS OF JUICE.
2. STIR TOGETHER MELTED BUTTER AND BROWN SUGAR IN 12 INCH SKILLET WITH HEAT RESISTANT HANDLES. ARRANGE PINEAPPLE SLICES IN SUGAR MIXTURE AND PLACE A CHERRY IN CENTER OF EACH SLICE.
3. PREPARE CAKE MIX ACCORDING TO PACKAGE DIRECTIONS, REPLACING SOME OF THE WATER WITH RESERVED 3/4 CUP
OF JUICE THAT IS NEEDED TO PREPARE THE BATTER. POUR THE BATTER OVER THE PINEAPPLE.
4. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 35 TO 40 MINUTES OR UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN. COOL FOR 5 MINUTES. LOOSEN EDGES AND INVERT ONTO SERVING PLATTER.
YOU CAN BAKE THIS CAKE IN A 9 X 13 INCH PAN, FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS ABOVE, EXCEPT YOU MUST CUT TWO PINEAPPLE SLICES IN HALF. PLACE THE WHOLE PINEAPPLE SLICES AROUND. THE EDGES OF PAN AND THE HALVED SLICES IN THE MIDDLE. BAKE AND COOL AS ABOVE.

2 TABLESPOONS BUTTER
2 TEASPOONS BAKING POWDER
1 CUP WHOLE WHEAT
1 TEASPOON BAKING SODA
1 1/2 CUPS BUTTERMILK
PREHEAT OVEN TO 375 DEGREES. GENEROUSLY GREASE A 7-INCH ROUND CAKE PAN.IN A BOWL COMBINE WITE FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER, BAKING SODA, AND SALT. CUT IN BUTTER UNTIL LIKE COARSE CORNMEAL.ADD WHOLE WHEAT FLOUR AND BUTTERMILK; MIX.
KNEAD ON LIGHTLY FLOURED BOARD 5 - 6 MINUTES. PLACE IN PREPARED PAN.
WITH FLOURED KNIFE, CUT CROSS ALMOST TO BOTTOM OF BATTER. BAKE 40 MINUTES. IF DESIRED, BRUSH WITH MELTED BUTTER. REMOVE FROM PAN TO COOL.

COOL SEVERAL MINUTES. ADD MARSHMALLOWS AND STIR UNTIL MARSHMALLOWS DISSOLVE. ADD PINEAPPLE CHUNKS AND NUTS. CHILL THOROUGHLY BEFORE SERVING. (SALAD WILL THICKENDURING THE CHILLING PROCESS.)

add 1/4 C boiling water and set aside to cool
cream ½ C sugar and 1 ½ C butter,
then add 3 egg yolks
1C cold milk and 2C flour beat fro 5 min.
add egg whites well beaten and 1 ½ C flour to which 2t. Baking powder has been added
Add vanilla and burnt sugar
Icing ( make in burnt sugar pan)

1 ½ cup cream
cook until thickens add chopped nuts if desired

2T butter }
1 cup of sugar }cream these two together
add 1 unbeaten egg and 1t. of Vanilla mix well

THOROUGHLY CREAM SOFTENED CREAM CHEESE AND SUGAR. BEAT IN COOL WHIP. GENTLY SPREAD OVER COOLED PRETZEL CRUST AND CHILL.
ADD BOILING WATER TO GELATIN. CHILL UNTIL IT BEGINS TO THICKEN. STIR IN DEFROSTED STRAWBERRIES. POUR OVER CHEESE LAYER AND CHILL UNTIL FIRM. SERVES EIGHT.

1/2 CUP COTTAGE CHEESE
1 TABLESPOON DRIED ONION FLAKES
1 TEASPOON LEMON JUICE
SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE.
COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS IN A LARGE BOWL. CHILL FOR 2 HOURS. RETURN TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE SERVING IN BREAD BOWL. CUBE THE BREAD REMOVED FROM INSIDE THE BREAD BOWL AND SERVE WITH DIP.

4 LOIN PORK CHOPS, 1 INCH THICK
4 LARGE BOILING POTATOES, PARED AND THINLY SLICED
2 MEDIUM-SIZE ONIONS, THINLY SLICED

1/4 TEASPOON PEPPER
1 TEASPOON CARAWAY SEEDS
3/4 CUP DRY WHITE WINE
2 CLOVES GARLIC, LIGHTLY CRUSHED
1 TABLESPOON CHOPPPED PARSLEY
1. FRY 2 SLICES OF THE BACON IN A LARGE SKILLET UNTIL CRISP, CRUMBLE AND RESERVE.TRIM FAT FROM CHOPS; BROWN CHOPS IN BACON DRIPPINGS OR USE SPRAY IF YOU PREFER.
2. ARRANGE HALF OF THE POTATOES IN A LAYER IN A DEEP BAKING DISH OR DUTCH OVEN. TOP WITH HALF THE ONIONS; SPRINKLE WITH HALF THE SALT AND PEPPER.
3. PLACE CHOPS OVER ONIONS OVERLAPPING TO FORM A SINGLE LAYER. ADD REMAINING POTATOES AND ONIONS, SALT AND PEPPER
4. CRUSH CARAWAY SEEDS; ADD TO BAKING DISH WITH WINE AND GARLIC. PLACE REMAINING BACON OVER TOP. COVER WITH A DOUBLE THICKNESS OF OF FOIL, THEN WITH LID.
5. ROAST IN SLOW OVEN (300 DEGREES)FOR 2 1/2 HOURS OR UNTIL MEAT AND POTATOES ARE TENDER. DISCARD BACON; SKIM OFF FAT IF NECESSARY. SPRINIKLE WITH PARSLEY AND BACON BITS.

1 POUND HAMBURGER, 1 1/2 QUARTS OF WATER
1 CUP DICED ONION, 1/2 CUP BROKEN SPAGHETTI
1/2 TEASPOON THYME
1 CUP CUBED RAW POTATOES, 1 TEASPOON BASIL
1 CUP SLICED CELERY, 1 BAY LEAF
1 CUP SLICED CARROTS, 1/8 TEASPOON PEPPER
1 TEASPOON BASIL, 1 #2 CAN TOMATOES
4 TEASPOONS SALT
COOK HAMBRUGER AND ONION IN A LARGE KETTLE, BROWNING MEAT
SLIGHTLY. ADD POTATOES, CELERY, CARROTS, AND TOMATOES. BRING TO A BOIL. SPRINKLE SPAGHETTI INTO MIXTURE. ADD REMAINING INGREDIENTS. COVER AND SIMMER 1 HOUR. IF YOU LIKE TOP WITH SHREDDED CHEESE TO SERVE. SERVES 6.
